Sashaying along the Strela Sound: Ozeaneum

The last thing I saw while I was in northern Germany in December was the Ozeaneum. I loved this place. It was so worth it. It is a public aquarium that is part of the same institution that operates the Deutsches Meeresmuseum. It showcases aquatic life in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. And in 2010, it received the European Museum of the Year Award.

I won't be writing a lot about this place, because really, I am not an oceanographer, nor a zoologist, so it was a very informative visit for me, yet I don't know how to convey what I saw in writing. So I'll just post pictures instead.

There, this ends my photos from Stralsund. I hope I posted enough photos for the reader to be enticed to visit this place. The next series of photos will be from another location, so watch out!

  1. My favourite are the jellyfish. Not when I go to the seaside, mind you, but in aquariums!

    1. Zhu,

Haha, yes. Otherwise it would be a very painful experience.
