Leipzig Day Trip: The Architecture of Leipzig

This is my last travelogue for Leipzig. After spending a day in the city, it was time to go back. It was a great day trip, and with train tickets that were relatively cheap, it was a great way to spend a weekend.

So after spending some time in a gigantic memorial, and then a few hours in the Bach Museum and Archives, we took a stroll and wandered around. Leipzig has a very walkable Old Town and therefore it is nice to simply stroll around and check out the majestic buildings that one can see in the city center.

The above photos are just a sampling of the places we saw. I cannot claim that I have seen all of Leipzig, on the contrary, we just scratched the surface. Hopefully, we could get back in the near future and check out the other places that we haven't seen during this short visit.

  1. Like you said, that's one of the perks of Europe: dozens of options for cheap and easy getaways!

    1. Zhu,

True, looking back, North America was never like this. When I was living in Buffalo, there weren't major cities around that were cheap to visit!
