Tübingen For A Third Time!

Good news boys and girls, this month I went to Tübingen!

Yes, I know, typically I announce my work-related conference trips in advance. Alas, I also write my blog articles in advance, and this time, the acceptance notice didn't arrive until later, when I already had written the articles that will go online before the conference. When this post goes online, I would have returned from Tübingen already, but hey, that isn't so bad, no?

I delivered a talk this time, co-authored with a colleague. I am the first author, so it's exciting. This is the third time I am in Tübingen, at least for work purposes. I have visited the city several other times before for personal reasons.

Come to think of it, Tübingen was the first city in Germany I visited, when I presented at a conference in 2012 in the middle of winter, in February. It was very cold back then. Then I had a conference during a heat wave in the summer of 2013. This time, hopefully, the weather is a little bit more moderate.

  1. Well... I hope for your sake, but November is a brutal month for most of the Northern hemisphere!

    1. Zhu,

It seems however that I have to blame El Nino for the relatively warm winter here so far, just rain and no snow, yet!
