Culinary Orgasm

Today I had made a very ultimately superb dinner. I found the recipe on the internet, and I simply followed it. It was a simple pasta, with simple ingredients of fresh tomatoes, goat cheese, and basil, but the result was amazing. The taste is similar to my all-time favorite salad, but slightly different, because of the different kind of cheese that is used here. So I made it tonight, and it was a culinary orgasm.

By the way, I didn't forget to turn the exhaust fan on while I was cooking, so that my housemate would not complain. But he cannot have a taste of my orgasmic pasta. Never.

On a different note, the weather is slowly changing here definitely. It is getting cooler and cooler. Actually, it was 12 degrees Celsius this morning. And the sun is slowly shying away from exposing itself. So I started wearing my leather jacket (that I got in Rome) to school. I noticed that most of the people wear sweatshirts and sweaters, but I haven't seen anyone who wears a leather jacket in this part of the country. I wonder why.

When I asked my classmate, who was from Russia, about it, he told me that I actually look European with regard to my taste in clothes. Hahaha, that was the first time I heard that description about me. An Asian with a European taste in clothes.

Remember that I told you I had a test today? Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I think I actually did well on the test. I should, because I have a maintaining grade or else my fellowship would be cancelled. Well, I guess I can manage for the time being.

I am ending this entry here, because I still have some reading to do. I am reading a book about coherence again, and what a change, because the past papers I was reading about coherence and discourse interpretation were so technical, but this is very reader-friendly.

  1. hey jeruen... I'm baaaaack to blogging. Here is my blogspot: http://candidablanca.blogspot.com/

I hope you're doing well, and that school is great!

  2. i thought vegetarians wont eat cheese, including goat's for this case? dont mind my ignorance.

  3. Hi. Yup, GRPrincesa is my mom. What's the name of your dad? Maybe I met him before. Small world isn't it?

Cool jacket, btw! Was just in Rome last July. It's great isn't it?

  4. Candida,

You're indeed back! Long time no see...

There are different kinds of vegetarians, from the not-so-strict to the very strict, most of the time, depending on one's philosophy.

I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian, meaning, I can eat eggs and dairy products. I do this for health reasons, not for ethical or environmental reasons.

There are the ones called vegans. These are the strict ones, where they won't eat any animal-derived products including butter and the like.

Then there are the ones called pesco-pollo vegetarians, who would not eat pork, beef, or any other kind of meat, bt would eat fish and chicken. Some people don't consider these true vegetarians.

Then there are flexitarians, who are vegetarians, but would eat meat whenever they feel the urge to do so.

  5. Reader friendly papers are the way to go! I have the same thing when reading cosmology - I understand most of what is said in the technical papers, no problem, but the more acclimatized texts are just so much more pleasant to read!

  6. ...funny!
You should try "Bratkartoffeln mit Majoran" = "Roast potatoes with marjoram" next time.
That's simple but soooooo good too!!!
