Yesterday, a couple of my friends asked me whether I would be interested in attending a free open-air gypsy music concert that will be held in South Campus. So, because of that, I woke up today, and ironed my clothes in the morning.
I was supposed to do them in the evening, after I come back from my office.
But, in order to attend the gypsy music concert, I instead ironed them in the morning and went to my office late in the morning, almost at noon.
I was tired. I had a big bundle to iron due to the fact that I have been putting it off for a few days now. But then, after doing it for an hour and a half, it felt like I did some exercise, since I was sweating like crazy afterwards.
Taking a dump in the toilet felt good too, after ironing.
Why is it that taking a dump in toilet feels good especially after one does some strenuous work? Like for example, when I helped my friend move, and afterwards I took a dump? I guess moving one's body moves ones intestines as well.
Ok, I don't want to be labeled by the Freudians out there that I had a problem with my "anal" stage, so I will stop talking about taking dumps in this entry, at this moment.
Anyway, back to the weird day comment. It is weird, because it is raining right now, and the clouds have hidden the sun from view. And so, when I passed by South Campus earlier, there aren't any tents for the stage. And now, when I hooked up online, I saw that the gypsy concert was canceled due to inclement weather.
Anyway, that is ok. There are other things that makes today a happy day.
Things like the fact that I don't have to write a homework for my class anymore. I gave them their last homework for the semester yesterday. And tomorrow, I am getting one of their homeworks back and they will have their last lecture for the semester. And then everything will be over. Ta-da! Well, not quite, since they are still doing their finals. And I will be getting them on the 15th, and the grades will be submitted on the 17th. Then I can say "Ta-da!"
Ok, I better get back to work. I am a part of a conference planning committee, and things are getting exciting, since things are falling into place. So I will be busy for the next few weeks, but hopefully I can still breathe in between.
Again, smell the flowers before I end with my Ecuadorian Flora Series.
