New York City!

Some good news: I am heading to New York City!

First, it was Portland. Then it was Tübingen. Now it is New York City. Wow, 2012 has been turning into my most productive year so far. I now have one conference presentation per month, since January.

Yes, I submitted an abstract to an academic conference in New York City, and I just recently found out that I have been accepted to present. Nice! Now it seems that my three big ideas in the dissertation are all going to see the light of day. The first big idea was presented in Portland last January, the second big idea was presented in Tübingen in February, and the third big idea will be presented in New York City this coming March.

Good thing that this conference is near: I am just taking the train to get there. That shouldn't be a big deal, as I have done that many times in the past already.

Oh well, I am excited. Time to increase my lines in my CV. We'll see what April brings, after all, there's another abstract with my name on it that is currently under review.

  1. Boy, you have been traveling quite a lot lately! Lucky you :-)

  2. Zhu,

I just planted some academic seeds before, and now I am harvesting them! I have to admit, sometimes they are tiring, but at the end of the day, when I get to present my work, it still gives a satisfying feeling.

  3. congratulations! this indeed spells more travel & CV mileage :) If you'll be here last week of March, it'd be nice to meet you - am traveling the first 3 weeks.

  4. Dennis,

Damn, you're off to somewhere interesting again?
