While my partner and I were in Florence, we saw these weird yet interesting road signs all over the place. This turned out to be the work of Clet Abraham, and I would see them at every corner, turning mundane road signs into works of art. Hence, during the five nights we were in Florence, I would always look up and see whether there was another interesting piece of road sign that was hanging. And yes, I photographed them whenever I saw them.
It made walking all over Florence rather interesting, and enjoyable. His artwork apparently is also seen in other cities, but depending on the policy of the local governments, they may or may not be preserved, as some cities tend to see this not as art but as vandalism. I don't know what I feel about it, yet, but at the moment, I am just amused at the idea.
