I love visiting quirky places. So when we were in London, we decided to check out the Old Operating Theatre, located in Thomas Street, near London Bridge.
This is a historic place. It used to be a functioning hospital back in the 1800s, until the hospital moved location. Somehow, the operating theatre was shuttered and left undiscovered until the 1960s. Hence, there are plenty of preserved artefacts in this place.
Looking at the exhibits in this museum, it makes me glad that I am living in the 21st century. Medicine back in those days looked very painful, and people still do not have the scientific understanding that we have nowadays. Of course, we face different issues, like the coronavirus pandemic, but that is a different story.
