Last Christmas holidays, I spent some time in London. It was the second part of a larger trip, the first part being with the in-laws in Budapest. While Budapest was more for family, with plenty of food and relaxation, London was more for just the two of us, where we spent five nights during the days leading to the New Year, sightseeing, and enjoying what the city has to offer.
See, I wanted to give London a second chance. When I first visited during 2014, I didn't have a good impression. I felt like it was super crowded. I felt like there were CCTVs everywhere. And so I honestly couldn't say that I have enjoyed myself. I wanted to change that. So this time, I went, having a little bit more of an idea what to expect.
We stayed in my brother-in-law's flat in Tufnell Park, in north London. And we just explored various places in the city, on both sides of the river. We even went to areas further east, like in the Isle of Dogs, as well as the neighbourhoods of Wapping and Limehouse.
Overall, I had a better time this time around. London is huge, and there are plenty of things to check out. I'd love to go back someday. In the meantime, stay tuned for the photos.
