After meeting up with an ex-colleague, I continued discovering Dublin. I somehow landed in the National Gallery of Ireland, which is housing Ireland's national collection of Irish and European art. There are a lot of works to see here.
The collection is very strong on Italian Baroque, as well as works from the Dutch masters. But of course, there is a heavy emphasis on Irish works, which is expected for a museum of this calibre.
I dunno, a lot of the paintings are not really my taste, but then again, I prefer more modern art than anything. In any case, I nevertheless enjoyed the few hours I spent that afternoon gazing at fine art. If this is your interest, then by all means pay a visit at this museum, and it would be an interesting visit.
