I definitely wanted to go to the cemetery. After all, it they say that it is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world, I definitely would want to check it out. So I headed over to the Cementerio de la Recoleta.
There is an entrance fee, and so I paid for it from a nearby kiosk. Then I headed to the entrance, and immediately I saw mausoleums. There's palaces and villas, lined nicely one after the other, all for the dead.
I am not well aware of the famous people in Argentinian history, so I didn't really know which graves to look for. I found Eva Peron's grave, but it was relatively simple, compared to the other mausoleums that I found in the area. In any case, I spent quite some time strolling the alleyways within the cemetery, admiring the little palaces and chateaus that were built in here to house the dead. Some of them even had multiple storeys, and others have fancy basements.
Overall, I spent about an hour or so wandering the area. And when I felt like I have seen enough, I slowly made my way to the exit.
