Cavorting in Canada: Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal

I visited Canada's most visited art museum. One afternoon, I headed out and took a walk to the nearby Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal. It was fantastic!

This fantastic museum was very close by to where I was staying. So after a little break, I headed to this place to check out this expansive collection. There's plenty to see here!

As you can see from the photos above, the collection is rather varied. There are rooms dedicated to historical art from East Asia and other exotic locales. And there are other halls that have very modern pieces. It's just a very interesting museum, and there's plenty to explore.

At some point, one gets art fatigue. So the key is not to see everything, but rather to pace oneself and check out the items that one finds interesting, while skipping those other pieces. In any case, I spent a couple of hours in here, and I definitely enjoyed them. Check it out if you're around!
