Cavorting in Canada: Downtown Montreal

I was making use of the good weather overall, and preferred spending time outdoors instead of indoors. So I went ahead and explored further on foot Montreal, and this time, I somehow ended up in the downtown area.

There are quite a few interesting buildings, and I slowly made my way to check them out.

The first place I checked out was Windsor Station. This building isn't a functioning train station anymore, but it used to be a very busy place, when Canadian Pacific Railway used this as their Montreal station. Unfortunately, as the train isn't the most common option for transportation in North America, eventually, the use of this station declined, and now it's an office building and event space.

Across the street is St. George's Anglican Church. It has a nice facade, but the interior was off-limits to me, at least during that time.

I then made my way to Dorchester Square. It featured a few interesting memorials. The above two photos actually show one from across the street.

Finally, I stumbled upon the Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. Unfortunately, there was an event going on, and therefore I wasn't able to check out its interior.

After strolling around in this area, I got hungry, and so I headed somewhere to get some lunch.
