London Long Weekend

Ah, London. I used to hate this city, after a rather traumatic first visit. But nowadays, I love it. So one weekend earlier this winter, I decided to just take a break and spend some time in London. It was my fifth personal visit to the city, and I had lots of fun!

I decided to take Thursday and Friday off, so on Thursday morning, I flew from Berlin to London City Airport. I also had a hotel near this airport, and so I really just walked from the airport to the hotel. As it was still morning, I couldn't check in yet, so I just dropped off my luggage and started exploring.

London is huge, so this time I prioritised areas that I haven't explored yet in my previous visits. I wanted to focus on the East End, and also given that I was staying near City Airport, this meant I didn't need to travel far. I followed a hiking trail that goes through the East End, and I also saw a few museums in London that I haven't been to before. I also did a day trip to Brighton. And overall I just had a little bit of personal time off in the city. This was a rather stressful period for me given some family-related issues, and I just needed some time alone. London definitely delivered, and I had a great and relaxing time.

Stay tuned, there will be photos, of course.
