The Australian Adventure: The Coastal Walk from Bondi to Coogee

One of the most memorable things I have done while I was in Sydney was to walk the Coastal Walk between Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach. The scenery in this area of the city is simply fantastic!

The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is one of Sydney's most iconic and spectacular experiences, combining dramatic cliff-top views, golden sand beaches, and historic landmarks over a relatively easy, paved route. The walk is approximately 6 kilometers one-way. It generally takes 2 to 3 hours to complete at a leisurely sightseeing pace, not including stops for swimming, relaxing, or eating. I didn't stop along the way, except to take photos, so it took me slightly less than 3 hours to complete.
I started the walk in Bondi Beach, as it is traditionally done. I took the bus to get there, and as the bus was approaching the area, I slowly got confirmation that I was on the correct bus, as there were people carrying surfboards who started boarding the bus. Upon reaching the beach, I got some snacks from nearby shops, and slowly headed south.
Eventually, the beach disappears, and rocks become the main geographic feature. There are several other beaches that one passes through, namely: Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach, and Clovelly Beach. I didn't really know which one was which, but I did see different places where there were people hanging out by the water.

Eventually I reached Coogee Beach, and there were plenty of people once again. I found a nice place to have lunch. And slowly I headed back home by catching another bus that conveniently took me back to the centre of town.

So yes, this was a fantastic walk. If you're in Sydney, make it a point to do it!
