Sometimes I have a habit of going to certain places when everyone else isn't going there. Typically, these are beaches and the seashore, mostly because people go there to go swimming, while I just wanted to see the beach. The same happened in Brighton. I wanted to see the sea, so I headed over to the shore.
Brighton is an interesting place. It's definitely not London. It's way smaller, and perhaps it's the perfect example of a honky-tonk place. I can imagine that this place would be bustling with action during the summer, but since I went there in late October, things are rather more quiet. The temperature is also rather on the cooler side, and so there's not a lot of people hanging out by the beach. Nevertheless, the beach was pretty to look at.
From the Royal Pavilion, I slowly made my way south, where the beach was. There was some construction on the road, and I had to navigate myself by going through what seemed like an obstacle course, as the sidewalks were rather blocked, and people and vehicles had to do something different than what they were typically used to doing.
Eventually, I found the beach. It's not sandy, but rather rocky. There's plenty of pebbles. There's also an amusement park nearby, and perhaps that was worth checking out, yet I was alone and I definitely didn't feel like going to an amusement park on my own to amuse myself. So I just took a leisurely walk along the seashore, until it was time to get some lunch. Then I headed back inland, and found a fantastic restaurant.
Eventually, I slowly made my way back to the train station, and headed back to London.
