Working Remotely in Athens: The Ancient Agora

After checking out a very intact temple, we just continued on exploring the surrounding ruins, as after all we were inside the Ancient Agora.

The Ancient Agora of Athens is an ancient Greek public square. This was a place of commercial activities, as well as assemblies, where people gathered to socialise. There were plenty of ruins here, which we explored leisurely.

The Temple of Hephaestus is part of this complex, but while that temple was very well preserved, the rest of the structures here were in various stages of ruined disrepair. There is however, the Stoa of Attalos, which was reconstructed, and now functions as the corresponding museum.

Together with the museum, we learned a lot about the ancient Greeks. It's a very curious and interesting civilisation, though I have to say that I still like the fact that I am living in the 21st century.
