See, Dufu was an ancient Chinese poet. Most likely, I encountered him in my ancient Asian literature class while a student in Japan. But alas, I pretty much forgot about everything I learned in this regard. Anyway, as I was doing research on things to see in Chengdu, this place popped up, so I decided to check it out.
As you can see above, it is essentially a very large park, and while there were plenty of visitors, I also managed to take photos without them. The cottage has been reconstructed, and around it, there are various other buildings of significance, and some of them act as exhibition halls of different objects, whether it is sculpture, bonsai, or something else. Other buildings on the other hand functioned as tea houses, where visitors can grab a table, sit down, and enjoy amazing tea.
I suppose in order to enjoy this place, one should read up on who Dufu was. I did that on the fly, and so I learned who he was. I do not have much interest in ancient Chinese poetry, but if you do, then this place definitely is worth a visit.
