Interludes from Chinese Class: Financial City

Before I left Chengdu, I wanted to see the two skyscrapers that seem to be featured on every Chengdu promotional poster. It seems that it's a prominent feature of the Chengdu skyline, yet I still haven't seen them. So I made it a point to go south of the city centre, in the so-called Financial City, where these two skyscrapers were located.

I have been told that there's a light show that is performed in the evenings. So I went there after sunset. And sure enough, I found them. And I saw the show. I stood up for some time, watching the digital displays change over time. And I took a few photos.
It's pretty. It's definitely eye-catching. I suppose this is a very visual reminder that China is a massively modern country by now. Hence I definitely wanted to explore it in more depth. And for that, I need to have a rudimentary command of the language. I think I am on the right track.

After some time, when I felt that I have taken enough photos and seen enough light variations on these skyscrapers, I headed back to the centre to find some dinner.
