I have been to the Hamburger Bahnhof a few times before - the
first time was actually in 2013. I remember liking the things that I saw back then. And I remember being there a couple more times when friends were visiting town. This time, I learned that they were hosting an Open House, and entrance was free. So I visited once again.
I arrived early. They were not yet open, yet there was already a rather long queue that was developing outside. I joined the queue, and when they opened, I got in after a few minutes.
The first thing I saw was the exhibition on the Main Hall. Lina Lapelyté scattered 400,000 wooden blocks, and invited people to create and destroy. Oh, people were having fun. I saw what people were creating, I saw what people were building. And at some point things fall. At some point, the towers collapse. It was massive fun.
I spent the rest of the morning exploring the museum. As expected, there were things that were new, and I haven't seen before. I love this museum. There's definitely plenty of modern art that makes the viewer think. And of course, there are also pieces which I have seen before, and I was glad to see again.
After a couple of hours, I slowly made my way to the exit. I was thinking, it was fun to visit something which I haven't seen in a while. I definitely want to visit this place again at some point.
