Prancing Yet Again in Paris: The Royal Stables

The last thing I checked out in Versailles before heading back to Paris was the Royal Stables. It is found across the street from the main chateau, on the other side of the Place d'Armes. The building was built by Jules Hardouin-Mansart. Entry to the carriage gallery was free, so I figured I pop in for a short visit.



This place contains plenty of interesting royal vehicles. Nowadays aristocrats and other important people have fancy limousines and other luxury cars, but back then, these were the vehicles of luxury. These carriages looked very plush and definitely something that commoners would probably not have the chance to even get into. Ogling these vehicles were rather amusing, I must say.

In any case, after spending a little bit of time here, I opted to head back to Paris. It was a long day, and so I headed back to my hotel and chilled for a while before finding dinner.
