20 grüne Hauptwege: Trail 20 - Bullengrabenweg (7 km)

The last of the 20 green trails of Berlin was rather short, and I have to admit, anti-climactic. This was just 7 kilometres long, and was an easy walk in the park.

I didn't hurry to start this trail, since it was within the city, even though it's located on the fringes of Berlin. So one May weekend, I headed there, took the train and then a bus, and then found myself on the edge of Berlin, starting a trail that turned out not to be spectacular.
It is a trail that is located just within Spandau, in the deep western part of Berlin. It seems to be a new trail, having been completed in 2007. I see plaques showing its completion, as well as the sponsorship by Deutsche Bahn. It is a trail that essentially runs along the backyards of some high-rise flats, and eventually, it connects with the waterways near the centre of Spandau.

So after about two hours, I completed it.

I suppose the fact that this is the conclusion of the 20 trails within Berlin makes me wish that the final trail should have been more dramatic, and not like just an afterthought. In any case, this means I need a new set of trails to wander during the weekends with warm weather. I have a few ideas in mind, so stay tuned.
