E11 in Brandenburg: Golzow to Ragösen (16 km)

After a relatively mundane stretch, the E11 started becoming interesting again from Golzow onwards. So one weekened earlier this September, I picked the trail up again and went from Golzow to Ragösen, which is a stretch of about 16 kilometres.

The trail becomes rather quiet here. The road is located rather far away, and one doesn't hear the cars. Instead, sometimes there are farm equipment doing their thing, but for the most part, it was a quiet stretch.
I picked it up from the village of Golzow. It is a quiet village, with an octagonal church (see the photo from my previous post). From here, I ventured westwards, as the trail does a long-winded loop heading west and then east, unlike the road which simply heads south, if one goes towards Ragösen.
At some point, I found myself on lonely roads lined up by trees.
And then there were also stretches where the path cuts through some forest of very tall trees. And near the end, it even became slightly hilly! I didn't realise that there was some element of non-flatness in this trail, given that I am in Brandenburg.

Eventually, I reached Ragösen, which is part of the town of Bad Belzig. From there I caught a bus which took me to the train station. We'll continue this trail some other time.
