I suppose I am a late adopter when it comes to AI. Since 2023, everyone has been excited about the use of tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, yet only now am I slowly venturing into using them.
I suppose this is primarily due to the fact that I am skeptical to change in the first place. Just because a new product is out, does not mean I immediately jump in and use it. I watch how others are using it first, and then I slowly adopt it. For example, I didn't have smart phones for the longest time, and even when I started using smart phones, the ones I used in the beginning were not so smart. I suppose the same can be said with AI.
Only recently have I switched to using Gemini as my primary search engine, replacing standard Google Search. Most of the time, the things I was looking for would be straightforward if I simply ask Gemini, but would require a bit more processing if it were in standard Google Search. So most of the time, I open Gemini as my default search engine nowadays.
At work, there is an initiative to roll out the use of AI. This is great, because I am learning these various productivity methods, like scheduling repetitive actions. I thought I have been an efficient person overall, but if I can be more efficient, then this would be potentially a game changer.
So yeah, let's see where this goes. Things do feel exciting, so I am looking forward to these new possibilities.
