Easter in Riga: An Excursion to Jurmala
It was just early April, so definitely not yet beach weather. Nevertheless, we wanted to see the sea, so we went on a little day trip from Riga to Jurmala, which was a short train ride away.
Jurmala is a seaside town on the Baltic Sea. I don't know how it looks like when it is summer, but even though it was still rather chilly, there were enough people wandering around the beach and chilling.
Aside from the beach, we also checked out the nearby woods, as well as an Orthodox Church. There isn't much to do in town, as of course the main attraction is the beach. There is a nice little pedestrian area though, which was good for people watching.
As afternoon approached, we slowly made our way back to Riga, and slowly wrapped up our visit. But before leaving, there's another site we wanted to check out.
