So my lease from my apartment expires soon. As my current lease runs on a yearly basis, I didn't renew it. Hence, I am moving out. However, I don't think I would be able to find a place that would let me live there just for a couple of months. Hence, I am moving in with a friend, temporarily. The idea is that I will be rooming with a friend until I leave the area for good. And based on how it looks, I am setting a deadline for myself, I will be here in Buffalo until October at the latest.
See, my student visa stipulates that I can legally stay in the United States while I am a student. Once I graduate, I have 60 days to leave, that is, unless I change my status to something else. Since I am scheduled to confer on September 1, I have 60 days from that point to leave the country. Hence, I am working under the assumption that I will be here until October at the latest.
Now, what if I get a job here in the USA? Well, that needs an adjustment of status. That will change things, but until I get a firm offer, I won't even think of that option. We'll cross the bridge when we get there.
So yeah, at this point, I am boxing my stuff, with the intention of shipping them to someplace else, although at this point, the destination is still unknown. Of course, once things get settled, I will let people know here.
