E10 in Brandenburg: Brieselang to Hennigsdorf (22 km)

Now that spring is here, and the trees have leaves again, I try to go hiking during the weekends when the weather is great. And this was the case last weekend, so I continued the E10 where I left off, picking it up from Brieselang and going all the way to Hennigsdorf.

I actually have been here before, in 2018. The E10 completely overlaps with the 66 Lakes Trail, at least in this area. But since it's been 7 years, I don't quite remember the terrain. So I was happy to just do it over again.

Just outside of Brieselang Station, there was a memorial. I suppose people felt the need to install a World War II memorial here. In any case, I passed by it, and continued on the trail.

A significant chunk of the trail follows the Havel Canal. I walked next to it for quite some time, until I came across some railroad.

The railroad is actually the Berlin Outer Ring, which originally was built to circumvent West Berlin. After all, if there are two cities who have closed borders, then transportation needs to be slightly creative.

Then there were forests. I loved going through these forest trails, as it's just an opportunity to mentally relax.

Then I arrived at the village of Schönwalde, and it seems I took the same photo of this church 7 years ago.

Finally, there's Hennigsdorf. This is a town that I have been to a few times in the past. This is where I ended today's trail, and at this point, I clocked in 22 kilometers!
